# Plans & pricing

> One dimension — events. A free allowance to start, self-serve paid plans with monthly included volume, flat overage, and retention that grows with your plan.

Pricing is **single-dimension**: you're billed on **events** and nothing else — no per-seat, per-step,
or per-feature charges. For the current plans and prices, see the
[pricing page](https://www.webhook.co/pricing); this page explains how they work.

    real trial, not a perpetual tier. When it's used up, capture pauses rather than billing you.

    On paid plans, going past your included volume **pauses capture by default**. You can instead
    turn on **overage** to keep capturing, billed at a flat rate per additional million events. See

## What's the same on every plan

* **The same product.** Plans differ by included volume and retention, not features.
* **A cap that pauses, not a surprise bill.** You're alerted as you approach your limit; capture
  pauses rather than running up an unexpected charge unless you opt into overage.
* **Retention grows with your plan.** Events are kept for a window that's longer on higher plans (7
  days on Free) — see [data retention](/help/usage/data-retention).

<Note>
  Billing is per **organization** — each has its own plan, usage, and invoices. See
  [organizations](/help/organizations/overview).
