# Your name & avatar

> Update the display name and picture shown across webhook.co and to your team.

Your **display name** and **avatar** are how you appear across the dashboard and to the other members
of your organizations.

## Update them

  <Step title="Open your profile">
    Go to your account's **Profile** settings from the account menu.

  <Step title="Edit your name">
    Change your display name and save. It updates everywhere you appear.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload an avatar">
    Upload a picture to replace the default. It's shown next to your name in the dashboard and on
    your team's members list.

  Your **email address** is changed separately, because it's tied to how you sign in — see [change
